Today the Washington Spirit announced they will be taking on Duke University on March 24 and the University of Maryland on April 3rd, completing a preseason schedule against some of the nation’s top college soccer programs.

“We are thrilled at the chance to take on top quality college opponents as we gear up for the NWSL season,” Spirit head coach Mike Jorden said. “This marks an important step in our preseason preparations, and will be a great opportunity for fans to get a first look at their new team.”

The Spirit’s preseason schedule currently looks like this:

March 17 – Penn State University
March 24 – Duke University
March 30 – University of North Carolina (Defending National Champions)
April 3 – University of Maryland
April 6 – University of Virginia

With the exception of match against Maryland, the other four preseason games will take place at the Maryland SoccerPlex. Admission for all five games is free, but fans still need to order them online through the Spirit’s website (tickets.washingtonspirit.com). All tickets are general admission, with a limit of two per order.
