HOW TO VOTE: There are two ways to vote and both involve using Twitter. So before you start make sure you are signed into Twitter.

Option 1: Using Twitter, send a Tweet to @ and make sure include one of the hashtags mentioned above in the Tweet. You can put anything in the Tweet you want but make sure to have both @ and one of the above mentioned hashtags.

Option 2: Click on the "VOTE" button listed above for who you want to win and a small window will open up with a pre-determined Tweet. Click on the "Tweet" button and the Tweet will be sent and your vote will be submitted.

LAUREN BARNES (SEA) – Helped lead a solid back line for the Seattle Reign FC and had a highlight reel save right before half by scissor kicking a ball off the line.

LORI CHALUPNY (CHI) – Chalupny was all over the pitch in the Red Stars match against the Boston Breakers on Sunday and notched the match winning goal in the 26th minute.

ALEX MORGAN (POR) – Lead the charge in Portland’s 4-3 shootout win over FC Kansas City. Morgan finished the match with a goal and two assists.

LIANNE SANDERSON (BOS) – Scored her first goal of the season and dished out her league-leading 7th assist in her team’s 2-2 draw against the Western New York Flash.

ERIKA TYMRAK (FCKC) – Making her second start is as many matches, Tymrak scored the match winning goal against the Seattle Reign. The goal was her second of the season.

ABBY WAMBACH (WNY) – After playing all 90 minutes in the USWNT friendly versus CANWNT, Wambach played another 180 minutes during Week 9 of the NWSL season and notched two goals and an assist.

    no Lauren Cheney for player of the week? She was a beast during the game against portland and then she did some fancy footwork that led to a goal against Seattle.

      I think her resume is hurt a bit by the fact that they lost to Portland and that one of her goals was a PK. But she’s been their best and most consistent player all season no question.

      I think it goes to Abby. She has the advantage of stats from two matches this last week but the win and her overall play against league leader Sky Blue was impressive.
