Tobin Heath to play for PSG until at least May
In today’s USWNT training camp roster announcement we learned that Tobin Heath (Portland Thorns FC) has signed with Paris Saint-Germain and is assumed to be playing for them until the end of May when their 2013 season concludes (May 26).
Heath will be joining US U-20 midfielder Lindsey Horan who last July decided to forgo a full scholarship to the University of North Carolina and instead agreed to a reported six-figure deal with PSG.
If you were hoping to see a Heath versus Megan Rapinoe (Seattle Reign) match-up prior to them joining the NWSL, you’ll have to wait. PSG plays Rapinoe’s Lyon on March 2nd which is just four days before the start of the Algarve Cup tournament and it is highly unlikely either player will be with their respective clubs so close to the beginning of the tournament.
Teams: Portland Thorns FC, Seattle Reign FC
