The Seattle Reign FC has signed Washington native Lyndsey Patterson as the team’s first “Discovery Player” signing.
“Lyndsey is the type of player that you’ll see on any given day cracking the ball against the wall alone at Starfire Sports Complex,” said general manager Amy Carnell. “It’s that passion, dedication and work ethic that makes her great addition to Reign FC.”
Patterson, a midfielder from Puyallup, Washington, played five seasons for the Seattle Sounders Women since 2006 with a stint in the WPS thrown into the middle.
“Being from here I always wanted to play professional soccer and to play in front of my family of friends is a dream come true,” said Patterson. “I love the fans here and the great atmosphere they create. It’s an unbelievable feeling to be joining the Reign FC.”
As always, the signing is still pending approval by the league.
