The NWSL has two matches on their mid-week schedule including first place Sky Blue FC hosting fourth place FC Kansas City in what should turn out to be the match of the night.
The other match on the schedule has the Seattle Reign FC taking on the Boston Breakers in search of their first win of the season.

Preview by Jennifer Engeling
FC Kansas City travels to New Jersey for their second match in four days, following a win over Washington at home on Sunday. Sky Blue FC returns from a hard fought 0-0 draw at Portland to begin a two-game homestand.
What to Expect: FCKC looks to pass the WNY Flash in the NWSL standings with a win or a draw, while SBFC hopes to hold position at the top of the leaderboard. In their only match of the season thus far, SBFC defeated the Blues 1-0 on a penalty shot from Sophie Schmidt. Expect the rematch to be equally low on scoring. SBFC’s back line returned to form with Saturday’s shutout of Portland, goalkeeper Brittany Cameron’s sixth of the season. FCKC’s Nicole Barnhart earned her fifth shutout with the win over Washington.
FCKC midfielder Lauren Cheney continues to surge after scoring twice and putting five shots on goal in Sunday’s match against the Spirit. She should prove dangerous for the solid SBFC defense and may be the difference-maker.
Score Prediction: 1-0 in favor of FC Kansas City with a goal from Cheney.

Reign FC – None
The Seattle Reign FC head to Dilboy Stadium to take on the Boston Breakers after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against the Western New York Flash as they had to play down a player for the final 34 minutes.
What to Expect: With Sydney Leroux, Heather O’Reilly and NWSL assists leader Lianne Sanderson on the Breakers, you’d expect a high scoring match, however with Hope Solo in goal for the Reign, you may have to temper those expectations.
So far this season Solo has been in net for three matches and has only allowed three goals to get by her and two of them were penalty kicks. But it has been Solo’s vocal leadership with her back-line that has seen the team’s shots-on-goal against drop from 7.25 per match down to 5.6. If you take out the Reign’s match against the Flash, that number would drop down to just four per match.
Score Prediction: 1-0 in favor of the Seattle Reign FC with a goal by Keelin Winters.
