The final piece of last October’s Portland Thorns and Orlando Pride trade was officially announced today with USWNT allocated player Lindsey Horan joining the Thorns.
“Lindsey is a player who we feel will be an important part of the U.S. Women’s National Team for years to come and we are thrilled to have her join Thorns FC,” said Gavin Wilkinson, general manager of Thorns FC. “She will be an excellent addition to the team and already possesses valuable experience from her time with PSG and at the international level.”
The Thorns received Horan in exchange for their first-round pick (No. 10 overall) in the 2016 College Draft being sent to the Pride.
