We are a little over two months away from opening day of the 2013 NWSL season and the news has finally started to pick up.

– The 2013 NWSL Schedule will be announced tomorrow (Tuesday).

Over 80 players tried out this weekend at Portland Thorns FC’s open try-outs.

OregonLive.com has a story about 50-year old Linda Phillips who tried out for the Portland Thorns FC. Phillips was a former member of the Portland Pilots and scored 41 goals during her time with the team … “There’s a lot of women out there playing soccer who also didn’t have the opportunity to try out. I just want to show them that it’s never too late to do what you want to do.”

– The agent for Veronica Perez (Western New York Flash) released a statement regarding the trade rumors surrounding his client.

– Six NWSL players made the US U-23 WNT squad including the first five picks in College Draft and first pick in Supplemental Draft.
