Before we jump into the NWSL news we wanted to congratulate Kristine Lilly on her induction into the Connecticut Soccer Hall of Fame tonight.

We also would like to thank everyone who participated in today’s #WSoccerChat on Twitter and to the hosts, Yael Averbuch and Ella Masar, for running such an informative chat each and every week.

As far as NWSL news goes, today was another slow day but that should pick up really soon as the free agent signing period officially opened yesterday:

– NBC Sports posted their look at the rules and restrictions of the NWSL free agency.

AllWhiteKit takes a look at each of the clubs entering the free agent signing period

– The View from Here shared a really nice infographic comparing the WUSA, WPS and NWSL.

REMEMBER: If you read any good NWSL news that you want to share please feel free to drop us an email or Tweet us a link (@NWSLNews). The same goes for all the authors out there … if you have a new piece that was published please let us know and we’ll get it added to our nightly recaps.
