Sunday was a tough night to be a Houstonian. After the Houston Dynamo lost 2-5 to Real Salt Lake, the Houston Dash fell 0-1 to the Chicago Red Stars.

Perhaps it was a bad sign when the weather forced the game to delay. After a three hour delay due to rain and lightning, the Dash took the field in Chicago. The Dash relied on goalkeeper Bianca Henninger after primary keeper Erin McLeod became unavailable. Chicago tested Henninger early and often throughout the game. In addition, Austrian forward Nina Burger joined the Dash roster for the first time. Burger did get a chance at the goal during the second half, but her run fell shy of connecting with a pass.
