Congratulations to Seattle Reign FC’s Kim Little on being named the Fans’ Choice MVP for Week One!

Little made her NWSL debut this past weekend scoring two goals in a span of just over five minutes.

“To get a win and score two goals was great,” Little told the BBC. “It was a great first game, it was pretty perfect.

What some might not know is Little arrived in Seattle from Bosnia just 24 hours before the match and did not have any time to train with her teammates, but that did not show on the pitch.

“We had a conversation before the game and I told her just to keep me informed about how she felt,” Reign FC manager Laura Harvey told the BBC. “She said her body was alright but her mind was a bit like ‘ok, I’ve got to run now’. But that’s Kim Little in a nutshell, she’s a winner, she’s a goalscorer, and she’s got a lot more to show.”

Little finished with almost 53% of the vote followed by Western New York Flash’s Vicky Losada (26%) and FC Kansas City’s Amy Rodriguez (20%).
