Former United States National Team player and member of the Boston Breakers (WPS / WPSL Elite) announced today on Twitter that she was signing with the Chicago Red Stars pending league approval.

Osborne had nothing but compliments to say regarding her former team and their fans:

And the same holds true from her former team about Osborne:

Osborne was a member of U.S. national youth teams in 2002 and 2003 as well as the 2008 US Olympic team. however she tore her ACL right before the Olympics and was unable to participate. After taking nearly a year off to rehab her injury she signed with the FC Gold Pride (WPS) in the inaugural season of the league. Following a season where she made 19 appearances for FC Gold Pride, Osborne was made a free agent and immediately signed with the Boston Breakers (WPS). The general manage of the Breakers at that time, Andy Crossley, said that Osborne “.. is a dynamo, and I think without her presence here, I don’t know that the team would have continued.” Osborne continued to play with the Breakers even after the WPS folded and the team moved to the WPSL Elite.

After spending the last three seasons as the captain of the Boston Breakers, you know that Osborne is ready to hit the pitch and be a major contributor to the Red Stars, and her new fans in Chicago are ready as well:

NOTE: As per NWSL policy, all signings are pending approval from the league.
