Wow … that was an exciting two hours or so of the NWSL Supplemental Draft today. A total of 45 players were drafted and amazingly enough zero trades were announced. If you missed it, don’t worry, here is a recap of everything we know up to now:

– First off, if you missed any of the picks we have them listed here for you. We are working on draft recaps for each of the teams and that should be out tomorrow just in time for the weekend.

According to Beau Dure from SportsMyriad.com, “teams will retain rights to drafted players through the 2013 season.”

– The Seattle Reign FC posted their thoughts on today’s draft with some really good insights into their (and other teams) decisions on selecting players. Very insightful.

Tina DiMartino will not be playing in the NWSL for the 2013 season. DiMartino was drafted 38th by FC Kansas City.

Kaley Fountain, selected 42nd overall by Seattle Reign FC, Tweeted that she will not be playing in the NWSL.

Portland Thorns FC took a chance by drafting Tina Ellertson with the 8th pick of the draft as she Tweeted just days ago “Not playing pro ball this year guys! Family First!!!” However according to Richard Farley over at NBCSports.com’s Pro Soccer Talk, the team had been in contact with Ellertson leading up the draft.

– There is a rumor floating around that the Seattle Reign FC and the Western New York Flash in are talks to trade allocated players Veronica Perez and Amy Rodriguez.

Nikki Krzysik is undecided if she’ll play this season. We’ll know more sometime after March 1st.

Jordan Angeli is still rehabbing and hopes to play at some point this season for the Washington Spirit.
