The FC Kansas City Blues signed Canadian forward Tiffany Cameron, pending league approval. If the signing is approved, Cameron could see her first action with the Blues as FCKC take on Portland on Sunday at Verizon Wireless Field.

“I’m very excited about this new opportunity,” Cameron stated. “I feel this could be a better fit for me, and I hope it will be the beginning of a successful career in Kansas City.”

Cameron adds another option to FCKC’s increasingly potent attack and brings along a formidable resume. She left Ohio State University in 2012 as the school’s all-time leading goal scorer (40) and all-time points leader (96), and earned her first senior national team start in April.

Originally slated to play with the Seattle Reign this season, Cameron was released on June 19 to clear international spots on Seattle’s roster. She had no goals for the Reign in seven appearances.
