The Houston Dash have been very busy today completing their second trade as they’ve sent forward Danesha Adams to the Washington Spirit in exchange for forward Stephanie Ochs.
Ochs was the only member of the Spirit to play in all 22 matches of the 2013 NWSL season, scoring one goal and tallying two assists.
“Stephanie is a great addition to the Dash family,” said Dash head coach Randy Waldrum. “She is fast, athletic and relentless. She will fit perfectly in our system. Steph played for me with our U-23 national team, so I’m so excited to reunite with her.”
Adams started 20 matches for Sky Blue FC scoring three goals and recording three assists.
“Danesha is someone we have admired for some time; she has great power and pace and is a consistent threat all over the field,” general manager and head coach Mark Parsons said of the new addition. “It has been a priority to bring in experienced players that can make an immediate impact and Danesha brings that and so many other exciting qualities.”
NOTE: The Dash acquired Adams during last week’s NWSL Expansion Draft.
