The NWSL released its 2013 season schedule today that features a total of 22 matches for each team. The league will kick-off on Saturday, April 13th, with a match between the Portland Thorns FC and FC Kansas City. According to earlier reports, FC Kansas City is considering moving their home opener to an alternate stadium in anticipation of a crowd in excess of the 6,100 capacity of their home stadium.

The top four teams will qualify for the NWSL playoffs and compete in the semifinals Saturday, Aug. 24. The NWSL will crown its inaugural champion after the final on Saturday, Aug. 31.

The only snafu the league ran into with the schedule announcement was Sky Blue FC accidentally publishing their season schedule around 9:30pm CST last night. The team removed the schedule a few hours later but not before it was shared across various social networks.
