NOTE: The NWSL has decided to go with a straight draft format instead of the initially announced snake draft. Draft order has been updated to reflect this change.

Per US Soccer’s press release “The draft order was determined with assistance from a panel of experts and agreed upon by all eight clubs. The panel ranked the strength of each club based on their allocated players, and conducted a weighted draw.”

The first ever NWSL College Draft will be held this Friday at 9:00AM CST during the NSCAA Convention in Indianapolis. Though the draft will not be open to the public or media, the NWSL has stated they will keep fans informed of all the draft happening on their Twitter and Facebook page.

Make sure to keep checking out the NWSL Draft Headquarters page as we get closer to the draft and on draft day itself as we will be posting throughout the day.
